College of Applied Science, Vattamkulam, established by the Institute of Human Resource and Develepment (IHRD) in 2005 is affiliated to University of Calicut with regular courses of B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Electronics),B.Com. with Computer Application, M.Sc. (Computer Science) and M.Com (Finance). The college is situated at Nellissery, near Edappal (3 km).
